More businesses open, scheduled to reopen in Lake Houston area

November 10, 2017

Business in the Lake Houston area had a big week as several owners reopened their doors after they were devastated from flooding at the end of August.

The Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce is keeping tabs on which businesses in the area have reopened, including businesses that are not members of the chamber. Data from the Federal Emergency Management Agency shows that 40 percent of small businesses do not reopen after a disaster and the chamber’s goal is to see more than 60 percent reopen.

The following businesses are now open.

Family Vision Center of Kingwood

The Mudpie Company

Papa John’s Pizza

Kingwood Barbershop No. 3
